The First Urban Guerrilla Mission has been acomplished successfully last Saturday 16th. We got more than 40 people in 12 teams, who follow the Guerrilla clues looking for buildings and public spaces in the city centre.
The teams had 3 hours to take the best shoot of each of the 10 clues, then they came back to The Ark building where their pictures were judged by Cristian Crisbasan (professional Photographer) and Iulian Puiu (Creative Director la Re:ply) while an open panel discussion was setup by Doru Frolu (Urban regeneration promotor) and Bruno Andresoiu (Igloo Director). The guerrilla was supported by the Space Syntax Romania team which helped developing the urban clues and also organising the whole event.
The best picture belongs to the team Desprenoi, receiving a digital camera as a trophy for their effort, second and third places where for fuctookyfac and 4FUN respectively.
The Urban Guerrilla plan is to have two more events in the following months, and hopefully the next one will be related with cycling and public spaces. So people will have to treasure hunt by shooting and cycling at the same time, what we think will be a fantastic experience! We hope to keep doing this in Romania for a while, (together with our friends in other cities around the world) so you are all invited to the next session!
